Dear Margot and David I too have Marriott relations from Sutton Bonington, but I haven't managed to go back as far as you. I have a Caroline Marriott, born 29 March 1863 in Loughborough, and her parents were Samuel Marriott (b 30 September 1796) and Hannah Hathern or Castledine from Ireland. I wonder if Caroline stems from the same branch of the family. I visited the graveyards in Sutton Bonington and there were several Marriott graves I seem to remember. I would like to know the cost of getting a photocopy of some church records and how to go about getting it done. They are all in Lutterworth, all the same surname and I have the dates. Is this possible? I know that if I were in Sydney I could order the film/s in from the LDS find the entry and have it copied, but I am in the bush with no chance of getting to a centre large enough to have that facility.... Hej I am a new member to the list and am researching the PENFORD family from Buckminster and the TINKLER BOTT family , although I´m not sure that they are from Buckminster. The information I have in my family tree is the following: Mary PENFORD born 12 Mar 1803 in Buckminster. She married Robert PARNHAM on 17 May 1824 in Bottesford and died there on 10 Oct 1888. Mary´s parents were William PENFORD and Elizabeth TINKLER/TINKLEY BOTT. Elizabeth was born about1782. I would be grateful if anyone can help me with any information about the above families. Best wishes Graham Freeman Göteborg, Sweden

I also have Samuel HOUGHTON ch 01 Mar 1810 Lutterworth Mary HOUGHTON ch 11 July 1813 Lutterworth The father was Robert HOUGHTON m Sarah JAQUES 20 Sep Lutterworth. Sarah died and then he married Elizabeth PAYNE see previous email. Again I need help tracing these two children. In hope of finding these people who are fairly near the top of my 'wish list'. I have John HOUGHTON christened 2 Dec 1816 in Lutterworth. He had three younger siblings all christened in Lutterworth in different years, so I could safely say that the family lived in Lutterworth or pretty close. The parents, Robert HOUGHTON and Elizabeth nee ?PAYNE emmigrated to Australia in 1839 with the three youngest - two of them marrying shortly before they left - I can not seem to trace John who obviously stayed in England and was possibly married by then being approx 23 years of age. Can someone please help or point me in the right direction to trace this man. Annette in Cowra NSW
