Would like to find the parents of Sarah COX who was born circa 1781 and married William LEMMONS around 1802 in TN (Williamson Co. per pension record). William died in the Battle of New Orleans in 1814. Sarah drew half-pay as his widow in 1815 or 1816. I have not had any luck finding Sarah LEMMONS on 1820 to 1860 censuses in either TN or AR. There were a few Sarahs, but none of them appear to match closely. The known sons were James B. (born c1809) and Alvin / Alvis William (born c1814). Who were Sarah's parents? She was living in Bedford Co., TN during 1810s and probably lived there until 1830s or 1840s. Any assistance appreciated. Nova Lemons lemstar@juno.com
