    3. On this special day (since all of us HAVE mothers even though many of us are not mothers) and people on this list are supposedly interested in the Lemon/Lemmon family as well as genealogy, I MUST tell you about my latest find - while thanking a member of the list, Carole, in California. In addition, I would like to point (rather than bore or offend) some of you to my short Mothers' Day and Heritage tribute which I posted in response to my latest find! The "find" was Friday, May 8, 1998, and the tribute is at: http://www.mindspring.com/~jogt/lemon_md.htm The "find" regards John and Martha Lemon of Scott County, KY. Martha's first 2 children were Mary Hare (m. Jas. McCabe) and Jane Hare (m. William Mulberry). Martha was widowed from William Hare (also a Rev. War veteran) before she married John Lemon and moved to Scott County, KY in 1792. John and Martha's 7 children were:John M. b. 19 Feb 1792; James b. 14 Feb 1796; Robert b. 1 April 1796; George b. abt. 1800; Ann (m. Joel Mulberry) b. April 1802; Martha b. Aug prob. 1803/4; Vance b. 30 Aug 1806. Martha and John were both born in Ireland, and John and his brother, Robert, both served in the Revolutionary War - from Westmoreland Co., PA. Martha ( ) Hare Lemon, the matriarch for hundreds of Lemon, Mulberry and McCabe descendants in Scott County, is my third great grandmother - I salute her along with many other mothers who did great things in order for me to be here today.
