Hi, I have been searching for over 3 years to find where my great-g- grandfather came into the United States. From the cenus, I have figured he immagrated sometime between 1837 and August 1840. My Great Grandmother was born in S.C. in August 1840 Her mother was born in Hamburg Germany in 1806. GGgrandfather: Morris Lehman (died in Charleston S.C. 1840, buried in a Jewish cemetery in Charleston, but unable to find records) Morris' wife Jeanette Edreheigh<(maiden name) Lehman born Hamburg Germany (buried in Jewish cemetery on Comings St. Charleston, S.c.
