It is great to see this list so active. With this new activity I will try again to make a connection. My information is very limited but perhaps someone will see something familiar and we can find a new cousin. Robert M.(Mathais) Lemons, b. 26 Mar 1838 in KY (according to death certificate) m. Margaret Ellender Bealer 6 Aug 1867 in Jefferson Co., MO. They had ten children: Leander B., b. 16 Apr 1868 in Cabool, Texas Co., MO Geneva, b. 11 Nov 1869 in Cabool, Texas Co., MO James Marian, b. 3 Oct 1871 in Cabool, Texas Co., MO Jesse Franklin, b. 3 Oct 1871 in Cabool, Texas Co., MO Matilda Carolyn, b. 4 Jan 1874 in Cabool, Texas Co., MO Robert Emmet, b. in 1882 Charles Elbert, b. 21 Jun 1884 in Westclif, Custer Co., CO, m. Lela Maude Weeks on 19 Mar 1916 in Cabool, MO Olive, b. about 1887 Alda, b. abt 1889 Margaret (Dollie), b. abt 1891 In 1860 Robert, age 22, was found in Miller Co., MO in the home of Thomas McCubbin (listed as being b. in KY) and his wife, Lucy. I have since found that Thomas' mother was probably a Lemons. John McCubbin and Elizabeth Lemons were married Jan. 3, 1811 in KY. John and Elizabeth McCubbin also were in Miller Co. MO in 1860. The next thing I have found on Robert Lemons is the marriage record in Jefferson Co., MO in August 1867. A McCubbin researcher tells me that the Miller Co. MO McCubbins were all from James McCubbin, Jr. and Mary Polly Cook. The family lived in Green Co. Ky (and Rockingham Co. NC and Baltimore Co., MD). That leads me to think that the Lemons might have been from Green Co., KY as well. This info is fairly new and I haven't checked out Green Co. but will as soon as possible. Certainly hope something here rings a bell with someone. This has been a brick wall for years. Thanks, Audrey
