Here's my query: William LEMMONS (Sr.) was born c1781 or earlier and married Sarah "Sally" COX in 1802. Sally's pension application stated that they were married in Williamson Co., TN around July - August 1802, but I have not been able to find this marriage record. Who were the parents of William LEMMONS? Anyone working on this surname in Davidson Co. - Williamson Co. - Bedford Co. area of TN during 1790s to 1830s? William was killed at the Battle of New Orleans on 23 December 1814, leaving a widow with 5 known young children. I would like to hear from descendants of these children: 1) Nancy LEMMONS (c1802-1806 TN - 1840s TN), wife of William L. McKINLEY 2) Mary LEMMONS (c1802-1806 or c1811-1812 TN), wife of Jesse BURR 3) Jane / Fine LEMMONS (1807 Bedford Co., TN - 1881 Henderson Co., TN), wife of Samuel STRATTON 4) James B. LEMMONS (c1809 TN - 1860s Polk Co., AR), husband of Mary E. CABLER 5) William Alvin / Alvis LEMMONS (c1814 TN - 1856 Polk Co., AR), husband of Marine GREEN Nancy died in Gibson Co. or Lauderdale Co., TN. I have not been able to find anything on Mary or Jesse BURR. Jane lived and died in Henderson Co., TN. James B. and William A. moved to Montgomery Co., AR then to Polk Co., AR.
