I am a new subscriber to the "Lehman" list, and would like to know if anyone is researching LEMMOND. The earliest LEMMOND I have been able to prove in my line was Robert Lee LEMMOND, b. Morgan Co., GA in 1804 (parents unknown). Just before the CW Robert Lee and his wife, Elizabeth Tomlin, moved to Randolph Co. AL. The father and all three sons fought in the Confederate Army. Then his sons--William Allen, John Lamar and Jesse Robert all traveled west from AL beginning sometime after the CW. They settled finally in Young, Wood, Upshur and Delta counties in TX between 1883 and 1901. Would be interested in hearing if anyone suspects they might descend from this line. Sisters who married and remained in AL were Almedia, who m. John O. Traylor, and Susan Francis who married a Whitley.
