    3. I am searching for information concerning my LEHMANN Family who immigrated from Schirrhein, Alsace, France about 1828 to Canton, Stark Co., OH. It was said that 6 brothers came to the U.S.A. from Alsace, but this has not been proven. I can only validate immigrant brothers being Michel, Nicolas, & Joseph LEHMANN. Anyone who can help or have connections to this family are asked to send any data, which will be greatly appreciated. Also, I have been unable to determine where in France they would have boarded for their trip to the U.S.A. I have not found the ship they would have traveled upon, nor their place of disembarkment. My immigrant ancestor was Michel LEHMANN, (Jr.) b 1789/1790, married Madaleine BIAM b 1790/1791. They immigrated from Alsace to Canton, Stark Co., OH about 1828 and finally to Ft. Loramie, Shelby Co., OH. Michel was s/o Michel (Sr.) & Catherine (SCHOTT) LEHMANN, who appear to have remained in Alsace. Michel immigrated with his wife and 5 children. Nicolas LEHMANN, brother of Michel (Jr.), married Marie Anne BIAM, were also immigrants to Canton, Stark Co., OH about 1828 with 3 children. Joseph LEHMANN married Susanne HALTER and is believed to have accompanied his brothers Michel (Jr.) & Nicholas to Stark Co., OH. He came with 3 children. Barbe LEHMANN, a sister, married Joseph PFEFFERKORN. It is not known whether she remained in France or came with her brothers to OH. Another sister or relative may have been Mary Magdalena LEHMANN, whose death record is found in church records of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Ft. Loramie, Shelby Co., OH. She was the wife of Ignatius ZIRCHER, who may be related to Nicholas ZIRCHER who immigrated to the U.S.A. during the same time period as the LEHMANN brothers. Michel and his family and Mary Magdalena (LEHMANN) ZIRCHER are the only ones found in Shelby Co., OH. What became of the other brothers and their families? Many descendants changed the LEHMANN spelling to LEHMAN. This family appear to have been Roman Catholic in belief. Believed Children of Michel (Sr.) & Catherine (SCHOTT) LEHMANN Exact birth order is unknown. 1. Michel LEHMANN (Jr.) 2. Nicolas LEHMANN 3. Joseph LEHMANN 4. Barbe LEHMANN 5. Mary Magdelena LEHMANN
