Just out of curiosity, has anyone researched Martin's and/or Lemonds' in Louisiana near the date of 1834? I have 2 sisters. Ellenor Martin and Rachel Martin that were both married to Lemonds (brothers or cousins), Robert and Thomas, respectively, and both families had a child born 1834/1835 in Lousiana, but in the 1830 Census and the 1840 census, Ellenor and her husband were in Henry County, Tn with no children born yet, but there was another adult man living with them which may have been Rachel's future husband, Thomas. However, I have never found their marriage records. I do know these families originate in ROCKINGHAM CO, NC
