Is anyone working on the surname LEMMONS (and also COX) of Williamson Co., TN and / or Coffee Co., TN during the 1800s to 1850s? I am looking for the marriage record of William LEMMONS to Sarah COX, whom he married circa 1808 (or 1802). William LEMMONS served during the War of 1812 and died in a battle in 1814. Some of his family members apparently lived in Coffee Co., TN. Widow Sarah and her two sons, Jim (James) and Alvis (William A.), moved to AR around 1847-48. James married Mary E. CABLER and Alvis married Morine (or Marine) GREEN -- both in 1830s. Nova A. Lemons lemstar@juno.com
