My genealogy starting with my father Guy LeRoy Lemmon, his father was Washington Lemmon, his father was Oliver Perry Lemmon, Hi father was another Washington Lemmon, his father was James Lemmon and his father was Robert Lemmon. Robert Lemmon I think came from Ireland and arrived here about 1750. I only have family stories and no proveable facts. I sure would like to know more about him. His wife was Eleanor Davis. James Lemmon was in the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. He died in Lancaster Texas and is burried there. I have seen his grave. I think that he was born in Pennslyvania or Maryland. I think he was born in April 1763. I need more information about James. I know that his first wife was Sarah Carr and that she died in Indiana. James married Amy Rawlins and had a second family and most of them moved to Texas. Washington became a Mormon and moved from Quincy Illinois and ended up in Salt Lake City Utah. The rest of the family stayed in Utah and Idaho. I have just subscribed to this group and am looking forward to meeting some relatives and getting some genealogy done.
