    1. Re: [LEGACY] Problem with the Divorce Event

    3. Hello Lloyd One thing I was pleased about when I went from Legacy to RootsMagic and back again was that Divorce showed up as a marriage event in Legacy. When just using Legacy, it never occurred to me to make a divorce event at all. There is nothing in the Description field at all - just Event, Date and Place. This is how it appeared after importing from RootsMagic. I am using V5 of Legacy so V6 may be different. I haven't tried to go back to RootsMagic so can't comment on that. I do know that for my website to not have Divorce twice, I have to not export the marriage status (where I have Divorce). Not sure if this helps - just my experience. In printing a narrative report it shows as Divorce, Divorce. I have to go through the database and delete divorce from the description to make it show up correctly in the report. Then when I import a Legacy Ged into RootsMagic, the divorce event shows up incorrectly. I have to go through the database again and change all of them back to RootsMagic fact style. Would it work better if I put all divorce data into the marriage note? Lloyd
