    3. Dear List Manager - Whoever you are, it's your responsibility to keep your mail list clean. Pagans expressing their personal religious ignorance is not the purpose of the Legacy mail list. There are plenty of USENET bulletin boards for this purpose. To tricia - If you study family history you're a party to it. Go be repulsed by yourself. -- Dan software@yellowknife.com wrote: >Hi, Jerr: > >I don't have the answer to your question. 3. There is also not to be any "flaming" on a Rootsweb List to anyone . Either respond kindly or ignore them altogether. Jerr when in Legacy go to : Options > customise> General Tab> Go to bottom of right column and on the LDS options be sure to uncheck the box which says "Display LDS information". I think that should do it for you. Good Luck. nancyb DanBCooley <dbcooley@rcn.com> wrote: Dear List Manager - Whoever you are, it's your responsibility to keep your mail list clean. Any further posts relating to the thread, will cause the poster(s) to be summarily removed from the list. The original posting in the thread, was improper, and the above message is equally improper. If a list subscriber has a problem with a posting on any Rootsweb list, the proper, and, prescribed procedure, is to send a message to the list administrator, NOT to either tell the list administrator what to do or how to operate a list, or, to start a flame war on a list. It is also not proper on any Rootsweb list, to make comments about an organisation such as the Mormon church, as have been made criticising the religious practices of the Mormon Church. Rootsweb mailing lists are for the discussion of genealogical research, NOT for starting religious arguments. If you must criticise any religion, do it somewhere else. It will not be tolerated by me on any list that I administer, including this list. If I see further criticisms of the Mormon church, or any other formal religion on this list, the posters of such messages will be summarily removed. -- Bret Busby List Administrator Armadale West Australia .............. 2. To the List: I apologize for the fact that my e-mail to Jerr went to the list. That wasn't intended. I don't apologize for my viewpoint. In my defence, I would like to express an opinion that there's a vast difference between disagreeing with (arguably unethical) practices of a huge conglomerate, and publishing personal flames against individuals. I flamed no-one, tricia > Dear List Manager - Whoever you are, it's your > responsibility to keep > your mail list clean. Pagans expressing their personal > religious > ignorance is not the purpose of the Legacy mail list.
