    1. Out of memory error 7

    3. Are their any Legacy users on this list that can help me with my problem? I will email support after updating if the problem still exists. After finally deciding to use Legacy my program does not work. I have the update before last. I can open the program, and I successfully deleted a family file. Then I imported a program via gedcom and when the gedcom import screen appeared I got the out of memory message, error 7. This has occurred several times in the last 3 days with different scenarios. I sent this message to the Legacy list yesterday, but evidently the list is now down. With Legacy open I have 715, 400K of physical memory and 1533 MB in the paging file. I also have plenty of video memory, but cannot tell you the exact amount. My operating system is Windows 2000P. I updated to Microsoft Office 2000, before had 1997, just on the off chance that would solve my problems, didn't think it would and that did not. I have multiple genie programs on my computer and no problems with any of the others crashing or shutting down. Last evening when I restarted my computer, Legacy still did not work correctly. If I shutdown the computer and open Legacy, it opens but usually crashes if I perform any action. How can I figure out what is causing this problem? The version before that I had installed was from October 2005. I had a problem with it crashing when performing a search via Legacy. When I installed my latest version, I uninstalled Legacy and did a clean install. I have a dial-up connection and do not download Legacy here. My son does it for me at his college and forgot to get the latest update today. If you think that will solve the problem, I will insist that he get the download for me tomorrow. I have decided that Legacy and my computer are not compatible but don't know why. FTL, Rootsmagic, PAF, Ancestral Quest, FTM, Genbox, Brother's Keeper, Relatively Yours, all ran without crashing. Kindest regards, Beth G.

    3. Beth, The Legacy User Group is working quite well now - many listers who were previously unable to receive messages from the list are now reporting that that they're getting messages and your request for help to that list was received by the list and answered by myself. Go to our website at http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp > Solutions by Error Number, where you'll find a solution to this error message. Make sure that you have updated Windows 2000 (In Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Windows Update). Legacy needs the latest version of MDAC and Jet Service Pack to operate correctly. Our Troubleshooting page is the first place anyone should go when receiving an error message or having a problem with Legacy. Thanks for using Legacy. 3. After rebooting computer, Microsoft Office 2000 completed installation and I did successfully import my file and backed up the file without an error message. However, there was no internet connection at the time and I am wondering if my problems happen when I or my network connect to the Internet for some reason. 1. [LEGACY] Picture Center problems...
    2. Dennis Kowallek
    3. Using 6.0.0.110. This question has to do with Legacy's database structure. Maybe someone can explain this for me... I go to Tools|Picture Center. I select an unassigned picture (U column is blank). The picture comes into view on the Picture List tab. But the caption "Marriage Record" is displayed. I looked in tblBR and this picture is nowhere to be found in the PicName column. So where is Legacy getting the caption from? I am troubleshooting a different problem and I came across this mystery in the process. -- Dennis Kowallek kowallek@iglou.com ******************

    1. [LEGACY] Bug in Picture Center?
    2. Dennis Kowallek
    3. Here is the actual bug I am encountering... When I assign (in Picture Center) an image to a man's 2nd marriage, a row is inserted into tblBR with an IDType of 30. IDType 30 points to tblER. It should be IDType 20 (tblMR). It works correctly when I assign the image to the 1st marriage. -- Dennis Kowallek kowallek@iglou.com ******************
