(Using 6.0.0.83 deluxe) Is there a way to persuade Legacy to compute married names for inclusion in a name index? I can include alternate names, but married name does not seem to be an option. Obviously some cultural assumptions or choices would need to be made, such as "woman takes husband's name" (UK, etc). I can (and do) export my tree to my website, using phpgedview, and that CAN compute married names based on the UK norms. My website therefore shows an index with married names. However, when it comes to printing out from Legacy an index report to include in a paper archive, I cannot do it.... On a (slightly) related matter, I don't seem to be able to persuade my (Kyocera Mita FS-1020D KX) Laser printer to print index reports double sided. I can choose the option in printer setup, but it goes ahead and prints single sided anyway. For most other reports, S-S is the way to go, but for Index reports, much page-turning (and some paper) is saved by printing D-S. The options available (alternate left and right placement of titles, etc) all suppose that D-S is assumed available. david beakhust david.beakhust@one-name.org
