Ian, I plucked this out of the Legacy archives from January 2006. I like and use both suggestions. Thank you Jim Winfrey. Diane Pauline and Diane, Go the the Tools icon at the top of the screen, click on "Set Direct Line as Preferred". When asked, select a person to be the focus from which the direct line is calculated. Go into Options to select a color for the direct line individuals. Another feature that goes along with the direct line - you can pick a focus person (doesn't have to be the same one) and click Tools, Set Relationships. That identifies the relationship of everybody in the database to the focus person if they are related.
