How do I get all the Data that is on the PC onto > the Laptop? The best way would be to make a family file backup within Legacy - File > Backup Family File - save it to floppy(s) or USB drive. Then restore from that on your laptop - File > Restore Family File. Note that if you have any multimedia files -- census graphics, photos, etc. -- that they will need to be copied to your laptop as well. You can do this within Legacy (File > Backup Multimedia Files) or just copy them over. The path for these may differ from your desktop but Legacy will find them all after you point it to one of the files on your laptop. Good luck. 1. [LEGACY] Sources Report
    2. DanBCooley
    3. I have been recently updating my sources in Legacy (version 5.0). I was looking for a report that lists each individual and whether he/she has a source. I can't find one. The only report for sources is the converse of what I want, i.e. it lists each source citation and the people whom it references. As far as I am concerned that report is useless because it doesn't let you check to see individuals with missing sources. Am I just overlooking an obvious report or is there a workaround for what I want? Here is an example of what I'm talking about: b c d b Cooley, Daniel Berton x x x x Cooley, Margaret May x x x ..... This shows that Daniel has all sources but Margaret is missing a christening source. -- Dan Cooley

    3. Dan: Your best bet is to 1. View Sources, click on 1st source. Hold down the Shift Key & then move to last source & click. (This selects/highlights all sources). 2. Then hit the button "Show List" - which shows all people with a source 3. At bottom, hit "Untag everyone in file" & then hit "Tag everyone in the list" (use Tag 1) 4. Exit back to family page 5. Perform a search for "Individual", "Tag 1", "Untagged" This will find all the people with no sources This does not get to exactly what you wanted, but it does ID anyone without a source. Chap Leon D.
