Thanks for the suggestion, Dennis - I've just tried this, cancelling relationships and then setiing them again with self as the origin - no luck. Then, just for fun, I tried making Elizabeth's father = the origin and cancelling & re-setting relations - and the relationships of all Elizabeth's descendants, by both husbands, were correctly labelled. So I begin to think maybe the problem lies with the program rather than my database? I have similar situations in my database, and they get labeled as "Half-whatever". >So I begin to think maybe the problem lies with the program rather >than my database? There are other possibilities ... a program setting that needs tweaking, etc. You may want to export a small portion of your database that exhibits the problem to another Legacy database and see what happens. If you want, feel free to send me a copy (as a GEDCOM) and I will try working with it also. -- Dennis Kowallek kowallek@iglou.com ******************
