You say they get labeled as "Half-whatever." If I understand the scenario correctly, they would be "Half-whatever." Am I misunderstanding the question? There are other possibilities ... a program setting that needs tweaking, etc. You may want to export a small portion of your database that exhibits the problem to another Legacy database and see what happens.
