You don't have a relationship with John. He is the stepfather to Elizabeths children but there is no blood relation to you. Elizabeth and James are married and I am directly descended from them - the relationships of all their descendants to yours truly appear on the family view as we climb down the tree. Now James died and Elizabeth married John, let us say. Elizabeth remains my 4G Grandmother, but no relationship appears for her children by John - to whom I undoubtedly am related. Have I missed something simple, or is there perhaps a minor bug, either in my data or the program? All advice welcome -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG.
