As a (retired) software developer, I have learned to trust my gut when it comes to software design. And my gut told me there was something wrong with mixing reporting options with exporting options (see other thread). A little voice in my head said that this was clumsy ... and that there must be a better way to do this. But another Legacy implementation that has always bothered me is the placement of the "Sort all events by date" function on the "Check/Repair Family File" window. My gut tells me this has nothing to do with checking/repairing a Legacy database! I have always believed that a better place for this would be on the Tools menu. My guess is that it was placed in Check/Repair because it was a time consuming operation (I've never tried it so I am only guessing that it is time consuming).
