Jim, Legacy can certainly be unlocked on your home computer and laptop with the same customer number. If you wish to install the program on an unconnected computer, you must first go to our website and download the setup file Legacy6Setup.exe. Make sure that you select to "Download Full Setup". Burn that file to CD or copy to a flash drive and then you can use it to install Legacy on the laptop. Just restore the backed up file to the laptop. Go to http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Tips.asp, where you'll find an article under "Backing Up and Restoring Family Files". The multimedia backup will need WinZip or other compression program to unzip the file to the laptop. If you did a multimedia backup through Legacy, only those files attached to your Family File are included. Thanks for using Legacy.
