I had written a brief note about a week ago about another Greenberry Lee, different from the Greenberry that ended up in GA/AL. My Green Berry Lee, b. 1797 d. 1880, married Levicy Smith b. 1802 d. 1859. This Green Berry Lee was born in Richmond KY, and is thought to have migrated to Missouri in 1833. He is supposed to have served in Fowlers Company Volunterrs, the Georgia Militia and the Cherokee Removals. He married Levicy Smith of Somerset KY in 1818. She was the daughter of Jonathan Drury Smith and Rebecca Neal. Green Berry and Levicy settled in what is now Drake MO in Gasconade County. He is buried in the Zoar Cemetery west of Drake. His eldest daughter, Nancy is buried next to him. Levicy was at some point put into an asylum, and I have not found her grave. Another researcher thinks that Levicy went to Mexico MO to assist family there rather than institutionalized. Green Berry and Levicy had 11 children: Nancy R. Lee b. Nov 13, 1820 in KY William Joshua Lee, b. 1828 in KY (This is my ancestor) Magaret Lee, b. 1831 in KY Martha Ann Lee, b. 1835 in MO Samuel Lee, b. 1839 in MO Lucinda Elizabeth Lee, b. 1842 in MO Charles J. Lee, b. 1845 in MO James Lee, unknown, in MO Greenberry Lee, unknown, in MO Drury Lee, unknown, in MO Jonathon Lee, unknown, in MO Green Berry is the son of Willis or Drury Lee and wife Nancy Eoff. They are listed in the 1810 census of pUlaski County KY. Willis (Drury) Lee and Nancy had 7 children: Green Berry Squire Lee James W. Lee Silas Lee Willis Lee Nancy (Lee) Ross Clayton Lee. Willis (Drury) Lee Sr. died around 1843, and is buried in New Madrid County MO. Willis Lee (Possibly also known as Drury) may be the son of Charles Lee (1758 - 1815), a brother to "Light Horse Harry" Lee. It has been assumed (from a Genealogical chart by Josia Gross) that Charles Lee's second marriage was to Margaret Scott. This second marriage supposedly produced a son named Willis Lee, b. 1776. Some of this data comes from research assembled by Myrtle Dingley Haradon in search of a Lee who may have fought during the Revolutionary War, to qualify her admission into the DAR. Other info comes from a Genealogical chart assembed by Josiah Gross, a lawyer from New Orleans, a son of Lucinda Elizabeth Lee. I have additional data regarding the progeny of William Joshua Lee. D.L. Riedel of MO, descended from Charles J. Lee b. 1845, son of Green Berry, is also researching this line. Jeanne Baker of Iowa, also related to Charles J. Lee b. 1845 is a third researcher of this line. Any comments on this line, Hugh? Marla Timmons in Houston
