I am looking for information on Hugh Lee, Sr who moved from Ninebanks, Northumberland, England in 1815 to Boston, MA. In 1829 he married Ann Jane Kirkbride (of Bucks Co., PA believed to be daughter of Capt Kirkbride, a sea capt in the revolutionary war?) in Philadelphia. In 1831 he moved to New York before moving and settling in Beloit, Rock County, Wisconsin in 1842. I have some information on his life and children (Richard, John Randall, William H, Julia Gertrude, and especially Hugh, Jr.), but would like to find out more about his parents (believed to be Matthew and Nancy (Smith) Lee from Ninebanks). If you have any information, please let me know. I am originally from Rock County Wisconsin, but am on a temporary work assignment in England for two years.
