I'm looking for parents/siblings of William Lee, b 1795 in NC, or possibly DE. He married Mary Lindley in Orange Co. IN, in 1820, and then Elizabeth Bush in 1843 in same county. Two IN census list DE as his place of birth; the latest listed it as NC. Mary Lindley's father and uncles moved from NC to IN from 1811 to 1816, so I'm thinking he may have moved to IN with part of their group. I can't find anything for him in NC, IN, or DE prior to 1820. William Lee had 14 children, all born in Orange Co., IN: (with Mary) Amy, Julia Ann b. 1825, William Prevo b.1829, Mary Jane b. 1829, Samuel b. 1831, Hiram b.1833, James L. b. 1836, (with Elizabeth) John b. 1844, another child b. 1846, Benjamin b 1847, Elmyra b 1850, Miles b 1853, David b 1856, and Wesley b 1858. Samuel Lee moved to Tipton Co. IN, married Elizbeth Quackenbush 6 March 1859, and had five children. My ancestor, Charles Elwood Lee was b. 12 June 1860. His son Lora Otis b 23 Mar 1892, moved to OR and married Helen Huff in 1919. William's sons, Miles and David, also moved to OR. Other surnames I'm researching: Lindley, Quackenbush, Huff, Hoar, Ingram, Yantis, Barnhart, Hall, Weaver, Ingle, Evans, Chambers, Hadley. I sure hope this connects to someone else's research.
