Longmont Ledger (Longmont, Boulder County, Colorado) April 20, 1906 Page 1 Fatal Accident to Richard Lee Richard Lee, commonly called Dick Lee, of Eldora, but who was for many years a resident of Longmont, was so badly injured by a premature explosion of dynamite in his mine called the Deleware, that he died on the train when being taken to Boulder. The explosion occurred at 5 o'clock Wednesday afternoon and he was found by his wife about 7 o'clock, with his left arm mashed to a pulp, his left side a mass of bruises, full of small pieces of rock and powder burns Two ribs over the heart were broken and there was a severe scalp wound. Mr. Lee was about 70 years of age and well known around Longmont. The interment will probably take place at Boulder. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
