Their first son, Vanrensalar, was born in Elizabethtown, Leeds, Ontario as were many more children through 1827. Then the started south, though NY, then Ohio, and finally, Michigan. I looked up your residence names; they are in Duchess County, New York. This county is just southeast of Greene county. So....is it possible that your Jonathan was an older brother to my Ephraim Lee (b. 1755)? Caveat - I did not do original research to discover Ephraim Lee and James Lee. I got this out a an ancestry.com family tree. I am a descendant of William Lee - James & Elizabeth's second child. Have you done the DNA Family Finder test with Family Tree DNA?
