Lee that married a Nancy in Fauquier county VA. Nancy was born 1785 Fauquier county died 1851 in Washington DC buried Congressional Cemetery DC. They had a son named Henry born Warrenton, Fauquier County VA in 1812 died 1883 in Wash DC buried with Nancy his mother at Congressional Cemetery. According to stories told by my mother before she passed John W. Lee was a farmer in VA but did not live with Henry and Nancy after the 2 moved to Wash DC 1829. Henry Lee was founder of the Lee Funeral Home in DC now in MD run by my cousins to this date. Apprenticeship record for Henry signed in 1825 in Fauquier county as a cabinet maker but not signed by his father John. signed by William Payne and mentions a Daniel Mitchell and Hosea Hickerson, overseerers of the poor.
