Hi Fellow Rooters - My son-in-law was given a hand drawn family tree that showed Sarah Elizabeth LEE, his Great Grandmother, to be the daughter of Isaac Alpha Lee, who was the son of Jeremiah Lee, b. ca 1700. The main problem is that all research to date indicates that Isaac did not have a daughter by that name, but instead had a granddaughter by that name, although, by that time her surname was no longer Lee. That possibly bogus family tree showed Isaac's father, Jeremiah, as having eight children: Henry, Alexander, Winifred, Nancy, Esther, Hardy, Nicholos and Isaac Alpha. Do any of those names sound familiar? This Sarah Elizabeth Lee married George K. Atwood, 1841 - 1887, and we are trying to determine if Isaac was not her father, who was? Could she possibly have been the daughter of one of Isaac's siblings. Any help would be appreciated, and as always, I'll be most happy to share. John E. Price Ft. Worth, TX
