Adrienne: Although I am not researching your Leigh line, I couldn't help but notice you mentioned a birthplace of Campbell, Dunklin, MO for William Leigh about 1850. My husband's parents grew up in Campbell as did one or two generations before them. I don't know if you are aware, but Campbell did not exist until 1882. There was a small community, now extinct, called Four Mile which was just up the hill a mile or so from present day Campbell. Four Mile didn't survive since Campbell was founded at the railroad tracks. The rail service was a high side of the area for some time and Four Mile was just a little too far for people. I don't recall remembering any Leigh family around that area in the 1850's. However, I could be wrong. I have a history book of Campbell which was published in the early 1980's. If you have a little bit more information as to where around Campbell the Leigh family resided I might be able to help you out somehow. I know quite a few individuals in Campbell and can make a quick contact if need be.
