    3. Hello Everyone, I've just joined the list and am a newby. I was very interested in the posting of David Pope. My gggrandfather had known brothers named Green Lee, Asa Lee, and John A. Lee. I feel that it's possible David's posting of 28 July 2004 may be our Lees. This is what we know about our Lees: My gg-grandfather William Lee b. 25 Oct 1818 Coosa, Ga. had the following known siblings: 1. Green Lee b. unk d. 27 March 1836 , one of Fannin's men under the Command of Capt. Winn in the First Regiment Texas Volunteers. Green Lee's heirs received both b and d land grants for his service in Texas. Source: 1. Power of Atty. document filed 1874 by John A. Lee and his neice Arah Ann Stone Lewis 2.
