My 2nd great grandmother was Mary K. called Polly LEE born 17 Dec 1805 in VA. I know nothing of her parents or sibblings. Mary married 22 Sep 1824 in Sumner Co, TN. to William McADAMS. On 9 Jul 1821 in Sumner Co, TN a William LEE married Polly McADAMS this could be a brother of hers. That is unknown. One person told me years ago that her father was Harvey LEE and she was born in Rockingham, NC, I have never found any proof of this either way (for or against). In the 1850 and 1860 census it lists her place of birth as VA. Family tradition says she was a granddaughter of Richard Henry LEE, in 1800 and 1810 there are dozens of men named Richard Henry LEE, take your choice. I am in hopes there is someone else out there working on this family, and can name her parents and brothers and sisters.
