Thomas Lee, 1710-57, Charleston, SC; formerly of the Barbadoes, who was a descendant of Richard Lee, bapt. at Alveley, 6 Oct. 1563 (the father of Colonel Richard Lee, b. Nordley Regis, ca. 1613, who came to Virginia, 1640-1; d. 1664, Virginia planter and legislator; ancestor of the Lees of Virginia. Emigrated 1641; settled in York Co.;removed to Northumberland Co. ca.1651. Richard Lee, ante, was the son of John Lee, b. 1430, buried at Chesham, Bucks, 13 June 1605, and grandson of Humphrey Lee, b. 1506, d. 6 Dec. 1588,ofColton Hall, Nordley Regis, who m.
