I have been trying to trace back the ancestors of Gen. Robert E. Lee. I have it traced back to Richard Lee 1618 who married Anne Constable. I have seen mixed reports from then on back. One lists John Lee, Sr. died 1630 who married Jane Hancock died 1639. Another report has John Lee 1528 who married Joyce Romney. Both have Robert E. Lee coming down their line. Can anyone help? Thanks.
