I am new to this list, and genealogy in general. I am looking for information on my Great Grandmother. Here is what I know so far. name- Theresa A. LEVY, on marriage list. Theresa A. LEAVY, on her gravestone. b. 1852 (I was told in California, or on the way there.) m. Oct. 25, 1881, in ST. LOUIS, MO. to PERRY COOK. d. 1932, in ST. LOUIS, MO. I was told her parents had a Gold Mine Claim in California. I am not sure if this is true. In 1890, my Grandfather was born in St. Charles County, MO. in Portage Des Sioux. Mostly, she raised her family in St. Louis, MO. She had a brother named Thomas, a sister named Margaret, a sister Mame (maybe Mary). I have no idea what her parents names are, or where they came from, or went to. I wondered if anyone else was researching this surname. I would love any help I could get.
