This may not be the Greenberry Lee you are asking about but thought you may want to check this. Greenberry Lee was the son of Lewis Lee and Jane (Triplett) Pope. He was b. 1820, Wilkerson Co., GA, d. 1853 buried in Lee Cemetery, Stewart Co., GA. A Greenberry Lee married Jane Corbitt about 1847 or 1848 and was killed in 1853.. To them were born a son in 1850, John Corbitt Lee, who died several years ago leaving a large estate. He was a prominent member, treasure, and deacon in the First Baptist Church of Augusta, and a member of the firm of Lee and Bothwell. His elevated sentiments of honor and virtue enabled him to live above the world in an elevated atmosphere of sobriety, integrity, and rectitude. These admirable traits of superior character, he has transmitted to his offsprings, who have intermarried into the best circles of pious and plutocratic residents of the city of Augusta. After the death of Greenberry Lee, a daughter, Anna was born. She married Sam Carswell of Wilkenson Co., GA.
