My brickwall continues to be my gggrandfather Amos John LEE, born 1828 in what is now Harrison County, WVA. According to his death certificate his parents were Stephen LEE and Nancy Thompson. The family moved to the Miami-Clark County area of OH in 1840. He married Amanda Miller in Miami County, OH in 1853. They were in Logan County, OH on the 1870 census. He died in Logan County, OH in 1913. There is a chance that the original surname spelling may have been LEIGH. My grandfather always stated that the family was NOT related to Robert E. Lee and that at some time in the past the surname spelling had been changed but he never specified what it had been changed from or when. Any and all help will be appreciated Don Herman
