THOMAS LEE OF HAWKINS CO., TN AND SOME OF HIS DESCENDANTS (1972) by Weldon Johnston, Orlene Lang, Robert T. Lee, Jr. and Lazelle Long. WILLIAM & PETER LEE (OCT. 1975) and the additio to that book by Lazelle Long and Kay Wrage Gunn. ROBERT AND GODFREY LEE (1979) by Lazelle Long and Orlene Lang. I am sorry to report that Robert T. Lee, Jr., co-compiler of the first two books, passed away a couple of years ago. About 8 years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting him and having him tour me all over Madisonville TN and surrounding areas, cemeteries, gravesites (some way back in the woods where it would be hard to find them again), etc. He was extraordinarily kind to me and he will be missed by the genealogical community. I thought I would write as soon as possible, as I'm sure you will get swamped with email. I know how it goes. Since you have mentioned Tennessee in your book, I have been researching my GGGrandfather for so many years, I jump at anything that mentions Tennessee. My GGGrandfather was Moses P. (Perkins) Lee, he was born July 22, 1818 in Giles County, Tennessee and died December 06, 1897 in Grayson County, Texas. He moved at an early age to Monroe County, Mississippi, and married Alpha Omega Cain on December 23, 1847. I have yet to find any information on his early life, Mother, Father, Siblings, Etc. I was just curious if you had any mentions on a Moses Lee in your book as I'm still looking for a starting place......... Thanks so much for your time.
