Lee, Jr., co-compiler of the first two books, passed away a couple of years ago. About 8 years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting him and having him tour me all over Madisonville TN and surrounding areas, cemeteries, gravesites (some way back in the woods where it would be hard to find them again), etc. He was extraordinarily kind to me and he will be missed by the genealogical community.
