    2. i have a James Lee b. 1832-33 that would have been a Confederat Veteran b. possibly in SC moved to Ga,then to Alabama ,from there it is rumored he moved ot Texas but since i can't find him i don't know for sure. Lisa M. Lee , Burnette

    3. If he was a confederate Vet in Texas after I believe 1884, he was eligible for a State Pension. Write or contact The State Archives, with the Library of Texas. http://www.tsl.state.tx.us/. I believe most of the southern states were of a similar character and the Vets were issued pensions, if they were indigent. If he is in Texas, they will make a research all files in the possession of the State of Texas for any info on your party to be researched, copy, send it to you and charge what I have considered to be an extremely nominal fee. If he died after 1903 contact the Bureau of Vital Statistics, in Austin. They have a site to get request forms, fees and other info. Good luck.
