ANNA BAGLEY EASTON Anna Bagley Easton, 87, of Ava, passed away July 29, 1988 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphsyboro. She was a retired cook from the Dillow Nursing Home in Murphysboro, a member of the Assembly of God Church in Ava and Ava Senior Citizens. She was born in Ava, May 7, 1901 to Pete and Margaret Ann Crisler Lee. She married William R. Bagley, December 1919. He preceded her in death April 24, 1952. October 8, 1956 she married Samuel Easton in Ava. he preceded her in death January 15, 1970. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, one step-son, one grandson, one great-granddaughter, four brothers and four sisters. She is survived by one son, Joe Bagley of Dowell; four daughters, Avis Ditch of Bradford, Illinois, Bessie Graff of Murphysboro, Lydia Qualls of Carbondale and Lois Powers of Dayton, Ohio; one step-daughter, Ruthe Hornbostel of Belton, Texas; two step-sons, Ross P. Easton of Farmington, Missouri and Walter Easton of Belleville; 18 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren and one sister, Irene Stofel of Willisville. Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 1988 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Rev. Merle M. Macke officiating.
