    1. Wm. LEE, d. Nov. 1816, St. Helena Pa., LA
    2. Diana & Ann -- but Ann especially, These are "our" LEE's. Our line is Nancy LEE, the daughter of William LEE and Susanna WARD? LEE who removed from Union County/Fairfield District to MS/LA. Records from the belated settlement of his father's estate (as detailed in the Union District Equity Journal) say he moved to "the Natchez area before 1788" and confirm his service as "a Captain in a Loyalist militia regiment." William LEE is listed in a report on tobacco growers at Natchez, MS 1790 (Spanish records). He is listed as a witness to Ephraim Bates' claim to land, 1805 (Natchez Court Records, 1767-1805, McBee). He lived in the Natchez District from at least 1783 until he moved, with his family, between January and July in 1802 to St. Helena Pa. LA, where he died ca. 1816. An abstract of his will is on my web pages: www.butterfly.net/lotus His father's will is abstracted on my web page also. Ann, your Susannah is sister to our Nancy LEE who married James LILLY. Their daughter, Mary Ann LILLY married Samuel Wilson TARVER, my 2xg'grandfather. We also have more papers on this family. We would LOVE to share info!
