I am researching Robert Lee born 1803 in NC. He married Rebecca Mitchell b. 1807 in NC. Their children were: John Robert Lee, James Mitchell Lee, William Revis Smith Lee, and Mary Jane Lee. At some point Mary Jane Lee ended up in Hamilton Co., IL married to James F. Metheny. She is my ancestor. I am trying to find any information of the family of Robert Lee and Rebecca Mitchell.
