I believe the Guilford birthdate is incorrect. Several references I have found would indicate 10 years earlier. 1. His marriage to Margaret Wilson is on 13 Mar 1725 in North Killingly CT.(1712 birthdate would make him only 13 years old) 2.from the Abridged Compendium of American Genealogy lists John (1702-1784) m to Margaret Wilson. John is listed as the son of Samuel Lee of Watertown MA and Killingly CT married to Mary. 3. From the Commemorative Biographical Record of Windham Co. CT pg 754 lists Jesse Lee son of John Lee and grandson of Samuel Lee of Watertown MA. Jesse Lee was the grandfather of one Cyrus Lee of Vernon VT of which the biography was written. 4. Resident listing of Killingly Ct list Samuel with sons John, Phineas and Isaac all from Weston/Watertown MA. 5. IGI lists Samuel and Mary as the parents of Elizabeth 1695 Watertown MA, John 1701 Weston MA, William 1708 Weston, Isaac 1711 Weston. Additional children are Mary 1713, and Abigail 1703-4 this from coorespondence with others. My line is as follows Samuel and Mary Lee John and Margaret Wilson Lee Jesse and Eunice Morgan Lee John and Polly Peeler Lee Lucy Lee and Jonas Weatherhead I would love to hear from you regarding your line and information you may have on Samuel. I have been searching for information on him for a while now. Where did you come across a year of birth for him? Any information on Mary's surname? I look forward to hearing from you. Susan
