    1. Re: [LEE] General Charles Lee
    2. Hugh...You seem to have a vast knowledge of the Lee families. Perhaps you can provide some information on Burrell Lee, born early 1800's in SC. On the census records his age varies approximately ten years. In 1850 and 1860 he is living in Chattahoochee and Muscogee County, GA. respectively. In 1870 and 1880 he is living in St. Clair County, AL. I have been searching for his parents and siblings for many years. There were many Burrell Lee's and several lived in Alabama at one time. I imagine they all came from the same line of Lee's, but I'm not positive. The John Lee Esquire line had Burrells but I can't fit mine into that line as of yet. There was a Burrell Lee who purchased land in Shelby County, AL in 1839 and on the same day as Needham Lee. William Pate who was a friend of Burrell (I have letter to prove) purchased land in Tallapoosa County in 1838. William Pate was from Coosa County, AL according to the land record. Then there was a purchase of land in Tallapoosa County by Burrell Lee on the same day as Jordan Lee in 1845. Do you have any information that might help me?...Regards, Martha [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected])
