    3. Hi MW, AT first I thought I didn't have the line you quoted here, but after further study, I realized I had half of it. I had the Harris-Netherland line because they connect to my SHELTON line and didn't realize it was also a LEE line. I was never able to find Eliz. Lee's b. 1707 parents. You have given me that connection. Sometimes I think that Virginia sprang from about the same 10 families in Jamestown and just kept intermarrying. You probably have this, but, Matthew HARRIS b. 1700 parents were Robert HARRIS b. 1630 Wales d. 1700 & Mary CLAIBOURNE. Mary CLAIBOURNE is the d/o William C. CLAIRBOURNE b. 1587 Westmoreland, England d. 1677 and Jane Elizabeth BUTLER. Those CLAIBOURNES (also spelled Claiborne) married into many Virginia families. Back to the LEE's, I do have William LEE b. 1654 York Co, VA d. 14 Jul 1703 King & Queen Co., VA m. 1.Mary GREEN 2. Alice FELTON. He was the s/o Richard Henry LEE b. 1613 Nordley Regis, Coton, Shropshire, England bap. 22 Mar 1618 d. 1 Mar 1664 Dividing Creeks, Northumberland, VA (Great Grandfather to the signers of the Declaration of Indepence) and Anna CONSTABLE. From what I can tell (Not gospel fact here!) is that perhaps Richard Henry LEE b. 1613 settled first in York Co then moved to Northumberland Co. He was named:" The Founder". In 1638 was Clerk of the Council, Burgess, and member of the Council and Secretary of State. This Richard Henry Lee is also the Great Grandfather of Richard Henry Lee & Francis Lightfoot Lee, two brothers who signed the Declaration of Independence through his son Richard. This Richard Henry Lee is also the 2nd Great Grandfather to "Light Horse" Henry Lee through his son Richard, a brilliant Cavalry Leader in the Revolution, three times Governor of Virginia, member of the Confederation and US Congress and he died a martyr to freedom of the press. This Richard Henry Lee is also the 3rd Great Grandfather to Confederate Army General Robert E. Lee, the son of "Light Horse" Henry Lee. Most of this, I am sure, is common knowledge. I have 8 children for Richard Henry & Anna Constable LEE m. 1641: 1. John Constable LEE b. 1643 2. Richard Henry Jr. LEE b. 1647 m. Letitia CORBIN 3. Francis LEE b. 1648 m. Tamara 4. William LEE b. 1. Mary GREEN b. abt 1655 (4 kids: John, Mary, William & Richard); 2. Alice FELTON b. 1650 (5 kids: Mary, John, Richard Henry, William & Richard). 5. Hancock LEE b. 1653 m. 1. Mary KENDALL 2. Sarah Elizabeth ALLERTON (He derives his name from his paternal grandmother, Jane HANCOCK b. 1584 Twining, Gloucester, England) 6. Elizabeth LEE b. 1654 m. Leonard HOWSON 7. Anne LEE b. 1655 m. Major Thomas YOUELL 8. Charles Constable LEE b. 1657 m. Elizabeth MEDSTEAD (2 Kids: Thomas and Charles) - this is the Cobb's Hall line. The William LEE b. 1682 s/o William LEE and Mary GREEN m. Dorothy TAYLOR b. 1681 d. 15 Feb. 1754. They have 8 children: 1. Charles m. Ann DABBS 2.
