Hi Patti, this is very interesting!! The earliest Lee I have been able to find (beyond a shadow of a doubt that is!) in our line is Thomas J Lee (b 1757 d 1847) m Anna Bishop in 1780. I have one tidbit of info that says that Thomas' parents were Robert Lee and Mary Baker. Thomas was in the Revolutionary War and is buried in Rahway New Jersey. I know quiet a bit about his life but nothing at all about his family, parents brothers sisters etc. So it's anyone's guess where he originated from. Hopewell doesn't ring any bells for me though, but a Robert Lee passing away in 1803 would be about the right age to possibly be Thomas's father. (??) Do you have a wife's name for him?? Any children?? Being that Pennsylvania is very close to the area they are all from I wonder if you have any kind of info that might give us a link. Let me know if any of this sounds plausible. Thanks for checking with me.
