Nana: I have one possibility for you. James Lee, Jr. was the s/o James Lee & Ruth Letton? of Frederick Co, MD. James Lee, Sr. was the s/o John Lee & Elizabeth ??? of Frederick Co, MD and John was the s/o James Lee b. ca 1690 MD and Mary Mitchell?. This data is anecdotal and not all that trustworthy, however there is a significant group of Lee researchers in this family, and they may be able to provide some better info. I suggest that you try contacting Robert E. Lee, Jr. at [email protected] He runs a James and Mary Lee website. Perhaps someone there can shed some better light on this James A. Lee.
