Hi Lorraine, Which set of LEE'S in Brownwood, Texas do you have info. on? My g-g-ggrandfather William Lee, b. 1818 in Ga. (lived in Alabama until 1877) migrated to Brownwood, Brown Co., Texas. All of his children moved with him. He married Mary Elizabeth Young in Barbour County Alabama in 1851. By 1870 they had moved to Baker Co. Al. (later renamed Chilton Co.) . I have not found him in any census before 1860. I believe his father was John Anderson LEE, who died in Macon Co., Alabama in 1839. I need to order a microfilm from the LSD Library to see in any more info was in the loose papers of the estate of Green Lee, Administrator Asa Lee dated July 1839, or when Asa Lee was appointed guardian of his younger brothers and sisters. Asa Lee was found in the Macon County censusin 1840. Thank you.
