William S. Castleman 1836 in Rutherford, Tennessee, lived and died in Mine Creek, Arkansas in 1850)? I have recently learned from my great aunts that my great grandmother, Lettie Louisa Castleman, was related to Robert E. Lee and that he visited Texas when she was a child and she actually sat on his lap. However, I have no evidence of this connection. Susannah Sanders is her paternal grandmother. My great great grandfather's name was James Moses Castleman. I was just curious if you had ever found any information on the link between Robert E.
